Catching marlin at spot X Gold Coast. No sht, there is a actual place callled spot X. Long time no upload, many more to come. 2.5 hour fight with this rambunctious black marlin. At the 1.5 hour mark we realised it was tail wrapped making it very hard to land, as it would dive when close to the boat. We ended up 8 km from where we started chasing it! 🤙 Unfortunately the fish was in poor conditio...

I had a double hookup fishing solo offshore - which I found rather challenging, however from watching the video I can see what to improve for next time. Initially I thought Marlin as I just hooked one 10 minutes before this and seen it jumping, this time I had not, however in another video coming I think this is a double hookup Dolphin Fish, the Bull and the cow. Unfortunately I lost both of them.

Fished with a couple new guys I met from Dropaline Facebook, Pete & Pat. Great trip out, this season is going to be sweet. We got a heap of tailor and even bream in the pots, all released. Legal Sand crabs and a female mud crab also released. All in all a great trip out.

Long time ago mate.. But i do, I use diced pilchard, prawns and yabbies when able to. Little to no weight.
